From Kendal
Approach Oxenholme Station from Kendal or Oxenholme Village and drive past the entrance up the hill, past the Station Inn. Set your odometer at the pub!
Continue through the villages of Middleshaw and Old Hutton for 3 miles at which point you'll drive up a hill to a crossroads signposted right to Gatebeck and Endmoor and Holmescales Quarry. Take this right turn.
You will travel past the Quarry on the left, past Holmescales Farm and Riding Centre on the right and a few hundred yards on the left is the activity centre entrance which is signposted.
Travel up the gravel driveway and park in the car park at the top in front of the lodge.
Traveling From M6 North
Exit at M6 junction 37 and turn left at the top of the slip road.
After approximately 300 metres take the right turn signposted Old Hutton. Continue for just less than a mile until you find the reservoir on your right.
Turn right along the side of the reservoir, past the sailing club (on the right) and continue for several miles on this bendy road. Don't turn off at any of the junctions.
At the end (T-junction) turn right to go over the M6, follow the road for a few hundred metres to a crossroad.
Go straight over the crossroad and continue for just over 1 mile (pass Holmescales Farm on the right) then a few hundred metres further to a gateway on the left with the Holmescales Activity Centre sign.
Travel up the gravel driveway and park in the car park at the top in front of the lodge.
Traveling From M6 South
Exit at M6, junction 36, take the third (right) exit from the roundabout and take the first (left) exit at the next roundabout (only 150 metres further) signed A65 for Endmoor, etc.
Follow the road past a Texaco garage, under the motorway. Travel past the Preston Patrick Memorial Hall on the left, past Crooklands Hotel on the right and travel through the village of Endmoor. Travel out of Endmoor heading towards Kendal where you will see a right hand turn sign posted Gatebeck, just before you reach Summerlands Industrial Estate. Take the right hand turn to Gatebeck following the road straight ahead, travel over a narrow bridge and turn left at the junction. Travel through Gatebeck following the country road for a approximately 1 mile and you will see the activity centre entrance on your right hand side. If you reach the riding school you have gone too far!,
